Deepawali celebration with Children of Shivpuri

21st October 2014,-
Samvedna and Shaktishali Mahila Sangathan celebrated Deewali with  children living around Banganga in  Shivpuri  district. These children belong to poor families .Their parents have low income and are unable to meet minimum standard of living. We ( Dr.Poonam Gaud, Mr. Ravi Agarwal, Ms. Preeti Sharma, and Mr. Nand Kishore Rawat and Myself) interacted with children and tried to know what they understand by this festival. It was really interesting to talk to them. A little girl wants to become a police officer so that she can check the crimes particularly theft. A boy said that he wants to become a doctor . He told that doesn’t have any doctor so he wants to become a doctor and serve his people. Most of the children were hesitant and did not reply but all of them were happy to receive phuljhadi, sweets and Diya.  These children promised to leave their bad habits and become a good human being.
